Delightful Chester Silver Vesta Case by James Deakin & Sons, Dated 1911

1900 - 1920
Description

This exquisite George V silver vesta case bears the marks of the prolific James Deakin & Sons and is dated Chester 1911. The slightly curved rectangular silver body engraved with foliate decorations surrounding a vacant roundel to the front. . The back engraved with floral designs. The base with striker.

Sprung hinged cover.

Ring attachment to the side.

Hallmarks:

JD over WD for James Deakin & Sons (John & William Deakin)

Chester Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "l" for 1911.

Dimensions:

5cm x 3.5cm

Condition:

Excellent.

No dings or dents.

Strong hinge.

Spring mechanism in full working order.
