A superb early 18thc German Westerwald Wine Jug, which would have been used to import wine from Westerwald in Germany to around the world...it has a deeply incised ring collar and a wide ovoid central belly which has a central crowned GR above a winged cherub, all framed by a floral pattern....the colours are rich and vibrant, of blue and manganese and the jug is in excellent condition apart from a hairline crack (see picture) to the base which runs up to the inside of the handle....a crack which can hardly be seen and doesn''t detract in anyway to this excellent example...numbered 3 probably indicating the size...German C1714-20.Payment can be made by Bank Transfer , all you will need are my Bank Details, which I will send you or off line by Credit / Debit card ,..... e-mail or telephone your card details (long card number, expiry date and three security digits on the reverse of the card) through to me and I will do the rest .Please quote the Internal Reference Number to ...
