Dating to the first half of the 19th Century this two section Teak campaign chest with carrying handles, reinforced brass corners, flush drawer handles and a secretaire desk in the top section is in great condition.
The secretaire has a selection of drawers with a centre door hiding a further secret drawer and two internal secret boxes. Both sections are marked with a brass plate for ''Capt Fairbrother'', one is numbered ''5'' and the other ''6''. I wonder what happened to numbers 1-4?
Captain Fairbrother was probably Army but could have been Navy.
