Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.

It has the cabinet makers mark ‘A. Solomon’ stamped inside the drawer. The quality is absolutely superb, this is a stunning and very charming piece.
The mahogany is inlaid with satin wood throughout, the bracket feet have a wonderful curvaceous design, and this has a fabulous scrolled pediment above the glazed door. There are three deep drawers in the base, one just below the door and also one hidden drawer at the top under the cornice. The brass handles are all original and are also beautifully made.

This comes apart in two pieces for ease of transport. We have just had it cleaned & polished, it is in very good condition for its age, with plenty of charm and a lovely patina.
It’s a very rare item, because of the size & quality. I have never come across a piece like this before.
