Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
It is of super quality, with amazing solid brass handles and escutcheons.
The drawer fronts all have cross banded inlay and an extra border of inlay and the top section has reeded canted corners. This has stunning figured walnut grain patterns, and a pull out leather top slide in the middle. The drawer bottom are solid oak & the grain runs from back to front.

We have recently had this gently cleaned polished, it is in great condition for its age and has a wonderful patina. I must say, we are not period furniture experts, however it does look like it’s an original piece inside & out.
This chest on chest separates into two sections for easy transportation.
