Description

A fine early 19th century Old Sheffield Plated pint tankard with a turned wooden base and heart shaped thumbpiece. There is no makers mark but there is a visible Sheffield Plate seam under the handle, dating it to c1780-1800.

The condition is very good for its age. There are no major dings or dents and only minor copper bleed to the handle. The piece has a good strong base and is watertight. Very clean interior with only a couple of black scuff marks to bottom.
