Small Brass Mounted & Parquetry Vitrine C.1910

Description

Smart little brass mounted vitrine display cabinet c.1910. Unusual small size, just 25½" wide and 51" tall. Original well figured marble top with a moulded edge. Over a single door cabinet with two glass shelves (depth 12½") and useful blind storage below the solid bottom shelf which is lined in fabric to match the back panel. Mahogany cabinet with curving glass sides. Cross banded and inlaid detail and very attractive chequerboard parquetry veneered panels around the base. Extensive decorative brass mounts and mouldings to the front and sides. Raised on tapering square feet also crossbanded and inlaid and with brass collars and feet. With an old break across the marble, well hidden in the figuring. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
