This William IV rosewood window seat was made circa 1830-1840.

This rare design of window seat is fabulously carved giving a flowing organic feel. The scrolled legs joined by the shaped bar to the front and rear. Both joined by a turned solid rosewood stretcher.

The deep buttoned seat, in hand dyed fine hide leather. This is skilled work; imagine the time and patience it takes to gently tap in each of the hundreds of brass headed studs.

Imagine this fine stool in your home and the many places you can place it. Not only in a window, but at the bottom of a bed, a bay, or easily used as an unusual coffee table tht also provides extra casual seating. One thing is sure, you wont ever get tired of looking at it.
