The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The movement has been identified as by Gédéon Thommen (Revue Thommen).

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model by the Birmingham based watch case maker, Aaron Dennison. Overall, the case is in good condition, just some slight unevenness to the screw-on case back.

The acrylic lens has very light marking.
The dial is signed J W Benson, London. It is in very nice condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch comes with a single gold filled chain, 30cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
