Description

A superb large antique Victorian chest of drawers in burr walnut. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1850-1860 period.

It is of outstanding quality and is quite an unusual model. The drawers are all graduated in depth, very deep and run smoothly, with fine hand cut dovetailed joints. There is lovely carving on the corners, and absolutely stunning burr walnut grain patterns all over. This sits on a plinth base and has beautifully turned solid walnut handles.

We have recently had this re-polished to a very high standard & the condition is excellent for its age. The colour tone and patina are gorgeous, this retains plenty of character.
