The face also has 2 subsidiary silvered dials one for "chime / silent" the other "slow / fast” and all with blackened pointers.The 3 train, 8 day movement plays Westminster Chimes on the quarters, half, hour and strikes the number of hours on a separate gong and has a pull-repeat cord. The movement fully cleaned and serviced. The case retaining it's original gilt brass finials and mounts etc. and very good "sun burst" sound fret panels to each side. The case raised on a stepped moulded base and supported on ornate ball and claw style feet. Condition- very good. Dimensions:- Max.Height…27’’/ 68.5cm. Width…17’’/ 43cm. Depth…12.25’’/ 31cm.
