A handsome Arts & Crafts oak ‘Hathaway’ design sideboard or dresser by Liberty & Co of London. This sought after dresser was designed by the celebrated Leonard Wyburd for Liberty''s circa 1900. Featuring a raised and shaped gallery back above an overhanging cornice and an open central upper section with a single plate shelf within a shaped surround. The middle with a deeper breakfront surface with angled sides incorporating a cutlery drawer and flanked by twin ‘sentry box’ cupboards each with a green bullion hand blown glass panel and opening to reveal shelved storage space, with brass ring handles and backplates to doors and drawers. There is a further central open storage area to the base again within a shaped surround and the whole is raised on simple plinth style feet joined by curved aprons. In very good condition and very well made as typical of the Liberty & Co. workshop.
