Antique Freestanding Spanish Walnut Library Writing Table

Description

An imposing late 19th.Century freestanding Spanish writing table or desk. Crafted in solid walnut throughout, the figured walnut top having a well carved edge above 2 frieze drawers decoratively carved with dragons, scrolling fauna and retaining the original crafted iron drop handles. The conforming reverse with 2 carved faux drawers and matching handles. The table is supported on trestle style ends with deep carved scrolling detail and joined with a forged iron stretchers. Condition- Very good, re-polished in our own workshops with warm patina and solid walnut drawer linings.

Dimensions:- Height…32’’/ 81cm. Width…59’’/ 150cm. Depth…31.25’’/ 79cm. Knee Height…25.75’’/ 65.5cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £65.
