An Early Art Deco Bulle clock By PM Favre. This exceptional 1931 mantel clock is indicative of the high art deco design of the period. The partially frosted, partially polished, moulded and etched glass case allows the early electromagnetic Bulle movement to be seen. The pendulum swinging continuously on its polarised rod. The glass dome was most likely manufactured for P.M. Favre by Rene Lalique. The Dome is fitted to a stepped ebonised wooden base.
The small Bulle movement is original and runs from a battery for over a year. The dial has its original black hands and stylised Arabic numerals. This clock is shown unserviced, but will be sold in full working order.
