Penderyn Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The bureau base has a fall front, above an arrangement of two short over two long drawers, raised on bracket feet. The fall front opens to reveal a fitted interior, consisting of a central cupboard flanked by eight pigeon holes and drawers, with four hidden compartments. A good piece of early Welsh antique furniture. Compete with working lock and key.

Item Ref; M-2987
DIMENSIONS:
Height – 198.5cm / Width – 116.5cm / Depth – 58cm / Surface Height - 79.5cm
CONDITION REPORT:
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related scratches, marks and stains to the fitted interior (pictured), further marks and scratches to the drawer fronts. The base side panels have age-related shrinkage (pictured), also honest repairs to the feet (pictured). There is evidence of historic woodworm, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique Welsh oak bureau remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. Comes apart in two sections for ease of transport. Overall, a clean example.
