Description

1920s Limit half hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss seven jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Limit name. Limit were importers of watches into the UK, and they were based in Oldham in Lancashire, UK. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover with a previous owner’s name engraved into it.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold filled Moon model from Dennisons. The Dennison Watch Case Company was based in Birmingham, England and supplied various watch manufacturers with cases. The case is in very nice condition. The front cover has a small central lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, the lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
