Quality French Kingwood & Mahogany Bookcase

Description

A very good and attractive late 19th.Century French kingwood and cast bronzed mounted 3 door bookcase. Of breakfront form with polished top above the decorative frieze with applied mouldings and mounts. The 3 doors having kingwood banding with mahogany panels and wire grills. The doors have later faux book panels behind the grills which can be removed easily if preferred (see photos). The interior having 3 mahogany faced and adjustable shelves with working brass locks and keys. The bookcase stands on a stepped and moulded breakfront base and supported on 6 turned and ormolu mounted legs with sabots. Condition- Very good. Dimensions:- Height…63.5’’/ 161cm. Width…57.5’’/ 146cm. Depth…14.5’’/ 37cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £75.
