Rummer with flared bucket bowl engraved with typical Odd fellows symbols and the inscription Independent Order of Odd Fellows - Joseph Sarah Barton 1837 English 1847.
Bowl dia: 10.1 cm.
Foot: dia: 8.5 cm.
Condition: Very good.

Note: The Independent Order of Odd Fellows was one of various friendly societies established as a means for working people to gain access to a form of social security that could support their families in times of need. For a small weekly contribution, periods of illness and unemployment could be relieved by payments made by the society.
