A stunning midcentury abstract oil on board by the listed artist William Ernst Burwell (1911-1974). It is entitled ''Water Symphony'' and is beautifully painted with heavily applied textures of predominantly blues. It is in its original gallery frame of painted softwood and has the artists label to the reverse. We have obtained several of the artists works from his studio. Condition is very good, the original frame has bumped corners and some marks but is generally good.
