Biedermeier Desk in Mahogany.

Description

Here I have a wonderful quality flamed mahogany Biedermeier desk circa 1860/80.

This charming piece of furniture is in excellent condition.

The dropdown front reveals a very well-fitted secretaire with drawers and a center cabinet and a pullout

leather-topped slide which has a spindle gallery.

The base has 3 drawers flanked by barley twist columns which go all the way up the side of the secretaire.

Above the secretaire are 2 more drawers, .and toped of each side by turned mahogany finials.

North European probable Swedish.

It stands 5 feet tall.

3 feet 8 inches wide.

2 feet deep.
