Description

A stunning 18th Century style Chinoiserie cabinet on stand. The superb carved and silver gilt base having acanthus, large shell, harebells and blind fret decoration all raised on 4 attractive cabriole legs. The cream lacquered top section having gold gilding with raised lacquer decoration of typical Chinese scenes inc Pagodas, willow trees, birds, bridge, Chinese characters, bridge, islands and fisherman. The sides decorated with fabulous Dogs of Fo, willow trees and butterflies. The cabinet is further enhanced with etched and pierced brass hinges and lock plate. The pale green interior having a shelf with a mirror base which has been added whilst used as a cocktail cabinet (just lifts outfit not required). Condition - Original, cleaned and waxed.
