Description

Dating to around 1900 / 1910, this is superb set complete with a beautiful board. Many of these chess sets can be light and insignificant, this is a large set with each piece being weighted to provide a substantial set to play with, made from Ebony and Boxwood and coming complete with their storage box.

Excellent condition with all pieces having baize on the underside to protect the board and the underside of the board has been re-baized to protect your furniture. The board measures 15 1/2" square and beautifully polished; the storage box measures 8" x 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" tall. The king measures 3 1/2" tall or 9cm.
