This is a very striking flat-weave sofreh with a beautiful abrash of natural aubergine in the central field on top of which is a large 'eye' for warding off evil spirits and protecting the valuable bread.
A great example of woven art made by Afshar tribes around 1900-1920.
Size: 1.17m x 1.10m (3' 10" x 3' 7").
