George I Walnut Gateleg Table Circa 1720

18th century
Description

Unusual George I solid red walnut single flap oblong gateleg table with moulded edge to top. Fitted oak and pine lined frieze drawer with old replacement brass handle. Raised on well turned legs joined with plain moulded stretchers. Fine dense heavy timber. Lovely rich deep colour with great waxed patina. It glows.

Size; 27" high, Top 34" x 30" open 34" x 15" closed.
