Break-lancet Top Mahogany Bracket Clock By Parkinson & Frodsham, London. Circa 1820.

This is an attractive table clock by the famous partnership of Parkinson & Frodsham.
 
The eight day duration, five pillar, double gut fusee movement with Anchor Recoil escapement. Also having Strike/Silent and hour pull repeat rack and starwheel striking the hours on a rear-mounted bell, pendulum parking bracket, micrometer regulation, lyre shaped crutch and border engraved patterning to the back plate which also passes over the fixing brackets, pendulum locking block and back cock. The backplate has
 
an oval cartouche containing the makers names in beautifully executed, engraved script.
 
Behind a 7” diameter bowed painted iron dial with cream background, a black minute track, Roman hour numerals and the makers names of “Parkinson & Frodsham”, LONDON above and below the centre. The matching steel hands are decoratively pierced.
