As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this most charming Meiji Period 1868-1912 , circa 1910, globular studio vase signed by the well recorded artist Shofu Katei, lattery Shofu Kajo, a Seto school potter that moved to work in Kyoto in around 1890, Shofu excelled at numerous new untried techniques and in particular potting porcelain in relief ( Moriage), he won the green ribbon in 1915.
