Penderyn Antiques has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
The antique oak coffer has a three panel front with decorative carved detail. Raised on four stile feet. A rather pleasing example, with good patina and rich colour throughout.

Item Ref; M-3813
DIMENSIONS:
Height – 60.5cm / Width – 105cm / Depth – 42cm
CONDITION REPORT:
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and splits to the top (pictured), and shrinkage to the front panel (pictured). There has been a replacement hinge to the lid (pictured). There is evidence of historic woodworm, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique oak coffer remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, a neat example.
