Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The quality is outstanding, this is very well made and is extremely useful. There is lots of storage space, the deep drawers all run smoothly and have fine hand cut dovetailed joints. The upper cabinet contains four beautifully crafted mahogany tray sliding shelves. This sits on a plinth base and has a beautifully moulded cornice. The whole thing breaks down into three pieces for ease of transport.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There are various small bumps and marks here and there under the polish, adding to the overall character. The mahogany has a gorgeous colour tone and patina.

This style of a Victorian Linen Press is the model I like the most & they are getting increasingly hard to find. They are definitely more popular than the Georgian ones, because they are more compact.
