An extremely tactile large, green glazed terracotta elephant.

In good condition and very heavy with a small chip to the inside of one of the rear feet which has no impact on the interesting and rare look to this unusual piece. In good shape, a little wear as would be expected of an item of this age, coming from around the turn of the last century c.1900 (maybe older). Possibly Indian or Chinese and came from a wonderful collection in a large country house.
