A beautifully made 19thc ash and beech ''Childs'' stick back Windsor armchair...made in the traditional way by the ''bodger'' (chair maker), unusual as the seat is also made of ash , instead of the more usual elm ...the front legs are finely turned and the back two are left plain..... excellent original condition with a fine natural colour and patina. English - Lincs. C1840-60
