Stunning Set of Five identical French Porcelain Limoges Gilt Cabinet Plates of outstanding quality. Circa 1930s.
Each decorated with vignettes of framed flowers and a central snowflake detail, on a cobalt blue and white ground. Underglaze mark CFH over GDM for Charles Field Haviland. GDM for Gerard, Dufraesseix & Morel, a company taken over by Haviland in 1992.
Haviland & Co. Is a manufacturer of Limoges porcelain in France, began in the 1840s by the American Haviland Family, importers of porcelain to the US, which has always been its main market.
