French Console Table

Description

French gilt console table with beautiful marble top. The console - in the Louis XIV style - dates from the early 19th century. It has pretty swags to the front and sides with a particularly clever design feature. in that they move, which has probably resulted in them surviving the test of time. There is floral detail above each of the tapered legs and a beautiful vase of flowers sitting on the cross banded base.
