Louis Xv Style Kingswood Bombe Commode Chest

An exquisite Kingswood bombe commode chest in the Louis XV style. The Kingswood bombe commode chest has a green veined marble top that sits upon a bow front chest of two drawers, each with gilded decorative handles. The Kingswood bombe commode chest is raised on four out swept legs, with decorative ormolu mounts to the top and feet. A particularly pleasing chest, with brilliant colour and marquetry details throughout.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks to the front, with minor scratches to one of the drawers (pictured), and marble top. The Kingswood bombe commode chest remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. The marble top can be removed for ease of transport. Overall, a good example of its kind.
