e. 'FREEZING', 'SUMMER HEAT', 'BLOOD HEAT'. The thermometer against a marble obelisk, the dial surrounded by specimen marbles. The obelisk on a plinth with a rounded edge cap, above a frieze inlaid with blooming flowers, above a stepped base.

Date circa 1850.
