Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The footboard features leaf carved cabriole feet and it has elegantly shaped side rails. The whole piece is in a wonderfully figured Kingwood veneers with good original patina. Comes with pine slatted base to allow for a double mattress (mattress not included).

Good colour and patina. General wear and marks commensurate with age. There are some old worm holes to the headboard and footboard. Also it has some veneers missing to the side rails and a small section of veneer missing to the lower middle section of the footboard.
