Antique Omega pocket watch, 1915.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Omega name, and it has the serial number 4,765,350 which dates it back to around 1915. The movement is protected by an inner cover which has the Omega name together with details of medals won at the Paris Grand Prix exhibition in 1900. There are two initials scratched into this inner cover.

The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver but not hallmarked so probably a low grade such as 800. The front of the watch is in good condition. The centre section has a few “dings” and bruises. The hinged case back has some fairly gentle unevenness and the engine turned detail has worn with age. The central cartouche has initials. The inside of the case back has the early Omega logo.

The glass lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial has a short faint hairline between 3 and 4 but otherwise is in very nice condition.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
