A Lovely Bohemian Ruby Glass Beaker

Description

A lovely 19th Century European gilded glass in a deep ruby colour, originating from Germany or the Low Countries. Possibly originally a tourist piece, the glass is decorated with hand etched and gilded pattern. The flared body has four panels, each with inscriptions and different classical scenes. An usual and decorative piece of 19th century glassware. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no cracks or chips. There is slight gilding loss in places, commensurate with age and use.

Origin :- European.

Date :- c1860.
