Early 20th Century Oriental Carved Maple and Camphor Wood Chest

Description

An extremely good quality early 20th century oriental freestanding maple chest profusely and deeply carved with scenes to all the sides and top of horses, warriors, female figures with children, mountains, bridges and maple and willow trees within a cherry blossom border. The chest stands on stepped bracket feet and retains its original embossed brass back plate and latch and comes with a lock and key. The interior is lined with camphor wood which has a lovely aroma.
