Description

Antique silver Vertex pocket watch, 1907.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Vertex Revue, 15 jewels, Swiss made, and it is all protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 48.8mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for Birmingham 1907, with a case maker's mark for Aaron Dennison of the Dennison Watch Case Company, a prolific case maker who supplied many watch manufacturers. The front of the case is in good condition. The hinged case back has some unevenness.

The movement is later to the watch although correct for the case.

The glass lens is in nice condition.

The signed dial is in good condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
