Description

A large 18th century antique oak dresser base or sideboard. The antique oak dresser base has a three plank top with moulded edge. There are three fitted drawers to the front with decorative brass handles. The dresser base is raised on square and turned front legs and straight rear legs.

Height – 87.5cm / Width – 197cm / Depth – 50.5cm

CONDITION REPORT:

In well-worn antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and staining to the top (pictured). There is some sagging and shrinkage to the top planks (pictured) and some losses to the edge moulding. The drawer bases have been replaced. There is an honest and good repair to the front right hand side leg (pictured) - although a good repair, care should be taken to not drag or put stress on the repair. Evidence of old historic woodworm throughout - this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Overall, a good example that is a little worn in places but still has plenty of charm and character.
