Fine Large Old Sheffield Plated Wine Bottle Coaster by Dixon & Sons C1835

Description

This beautifully ornate wine bottle coaster is made of Old Sheffield Plate by highly respected maker Dixon & Sons (c1835). The interior has an inlaid silver cartouche to the centre, which is blank, and surrounded by grape vine engraved detailing. This large coaster is wooden to the base.

In good condition with a slight ripple to the rim and slight evidence of surface wear.

Height approx 6cm

Diameter at base approx 14.5cm

Internal diameter approx 12cm
