Description

A smaller, well proportioned red tortoishell mantel clock. Gilt ormolu mounts to the front and case sides. An enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands signed by retailer 'J W Benson London'. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a gong. A numbered pendulum matching the mechanism. Circa 1900.
