Antique Victorian Mahogany Breakfront Grand Sideboard

An amazing condition original sideboard.

We are delighted to bring to you one of the finest examples of a rare Victorian (circa 1870) Breakfront Grand sideboard. The beautiful sideboard is made from solid Mahogany and features 3 moulded frieze drawers above a pair of panelled cupboard doors, flanked by further arched and panelled cupboard doors. The finely dovetailed solid Mahogany drawers are smoothly operating with little to no drawer wear and are clean inside. Behind the lovely arch moulded left cupboard door is a linen press with 2 slide out linen drawers and to the right side is 1 shelf and a lead lined cellarette drawer ideal for storing wines. These cupboard doors are lockable via hidden keyholes on the sides.

Unlocking and opening the double arch moulded doors in the centre reveals 1 much larger cupboard with one removable shelf.

This sideboard comes complete with all of its original smoothly operating brass locks and its 2 original keys, 1 of which opens the left and the right cupboard and the other opens the centre.

This sideboard is in an outstanding original condition featuring its original beautiful lightly faded french polished finish with a lovely deep mahogany colour. We have sympathetically restored and carefully cleaned and waxed this sideboard, maintaining its original patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen.

The top drawer section of this sideboard comes off the base for easy transportation.

Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents, however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece.
