18th Century Antique Oak Chest of Drawers

A neatly proportioned 18th century antique oak chest of drawers. The antique oak chest has a three plank top, with an arrangement of two short over three long graduating drawers, each with decorative brass backplates and drop handles. The antique oak chest of drawers has panelled sides, and is raised on bun and straight feet. Finished with a fresh coat of natural wax.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the drawer fronts (pictured), with further marks, scratches and shrinkage to the surface top (pictured). There is evidence of historic woodworm, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique oak chest of drawers remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, a brilliant example of 18th century antique furniture.
