Pair of Old Sheffield Plated Tankards N Smith & Co C1780

Description

A rare graduated pair of Old Sheffield Plated tankards. One marked for maker N Smith & Co (1784) and the other has a very rubbed mark, but they are of the same design. The set comprises of one pint tankard and one half pint tankard. Both have beautiful clean lines with heart shaped thumb pieces and turned wooden bases.

The condition is good overall with no dents, the plating is in good order and both have very clean interiors. The makers marks are rubbed and both have minor knocks around the rims.

Total weight approx 539g.

Pint - Height approx 12.5cm.

Half Pint - Height approx 9.5cm.
