Large Rosewood Overmantle Mirror C.1860

19th century
Description

Unusual large mid 19th.c. overmantle mirror, possibly of Anglo-Indian origin, c.1860. 56" x 48" mirror plate within a highly decorative rosewood frame. Topped with an extraordinarily elaborate shaped and pierced fretwork frieze and flanked with a pair of long twist carved columns with long needle finials and carved plinths. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
