Small and Pretty Regency Period Mahogany Double Tea Caddy

Description

A pretty and small Regency period mahogany double Tea Caddy with boxwood lined inlay to the exterior and lid.

The lid opens to reveal two lidded tea compartments inside, with the remnants of the original lead lining paper. Each lid has boxwood edging and an ivory handle. The entire box is supported on dainty brass ball-feet. Complete with working key.

Date: c.1825-35

Dimensions: Height: 4.5 inches (11.5cm). Width: 5 inches (12.7cm). Depth: 4 inches (10.2cm)
