Description
An antique Victorian sterling silver sauce ladle which has been designed in the fiddle, thread and shell pattern with a nicely curved handle and a good sized bowl perfectly shaped for serving sauce. The shell detailing on the ladle is clear and distinct and the overall condition is excellent. This ladle would make a useful addition to a fiddle, thread and shell canteen and would be ideal to use. It weighs 2.8 troy ounces (88 grams). When taking photographs, it is difficult to eliminate the reflection on silver. Length: 17 cms (6.7") Width of bowl: 6.1 cms (2.4") It was hallmarked in London for 1889 by William Henry Brewis and remains in excellent condition. Complimentary postage is included within the price of this sauce ladle. Internal Ref: 5729
