Description

Stunning Georgian mahogany secretaire chest on chest in excellent condition that comes in two parts for easy transportation. The top section consists of a attractive dental cornice, canted edges decorated with blind fret and an arrangement of 2 short drawers over 3 long graduating drawers. The bottom section holds the secretaire, fitted with pigeon holes, drawers and a small cupboard and two deep drawers. All the drawers have delicate string inlay decoration with satin wood cross banding to the edges of the small cupboard inside and to outer drawer fronts. An extremely well made chest in excellent condition having a warm colour, wonderful graining with normal marks and scuffs commensurate with age and use. A very handsome chest offering a lot of storage and work space.
