Description

Early 19th.c. Welsh Dresser base, South Wales c.1810. Two plank oak top (note the very deep front board) with an applied moulding to the underside of the edge. Over five drawers with a simple moulded detail to the drawer fronts and later brass swan neck handles with Georgian pattern backplates. Triple arch apron, the taller centre arch having a mahogany crossbanded surround, with a cockbeaded bottom edge. Raised on four nicely turned column front legs over an open potboard display shelf with oak boards and rail. Rear stiles and back panel also in oak. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
